Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Since its founding in 1913, Delta Sigma Theta has boldly confronted challenges facing under-represented and under-served groups. The Sorority’s local chapters all over the United States and abroad realize a mission of public service through programs based upon the organization’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
