Welcome to the official website of the award-winning Northeast Wisconsin Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!

Founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University by twenty-two dynamic women, we are a sisterhood of college educated women with a mission to provide assistance and support to our local communities. The Northeast Wisconsin Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta is a public service sorority which has served the Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac and Sheboygan areas in Northeastern Wisconsin since 2016.

Our sisterhood serves the community through our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust in the following areas:

Since our chartering in 2016, our chapter has faithfully provided programming that meets the needs of our community. The Northeast Wisconsin Alumnae Chapter has been known for projects that support youth mentorship, voter registration and education, physical and mental health awareness and philanthropic support to community causes – locally, nationally, and globally. Although, the pandemic has proven to be challenging in many ways. We will continue to evaluate our efforts to ensure that our programming and presence is relevant and impactful. We are committed to changing the narrative that minimizes or in any way hinders access for our current and future generations. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a sisterhood called to serve – and serve is what we do with a compassionate and committed heart!

Schools and universities shifted classes to an online format and many of us are working remotely. To protect ourselves and others we wear masks and engage in social distancing practices. But with the many changes we are experiencing to how we function daily, there are some things that remain prevalent in our society. We must understand more than ever how our Sorority’s five-point programmatic thrust: economic awareness, educational awareness, international awareness and involvement, mental and physical health awareness, and political awareness is paramount during these times

For the current Sorority Year, the Northeast Wisconsin Alumnae Chapter will continue to be purpose driven. Driven to do the work and collaborate with others who are passionate about our purpose which centers around service, support and advocacy. This year we will work on building collaborative relationships and organizing high impact programs and experiences for those we serve. Our youth will continue to be a focus area as we create opportunities for them to grow, experience, and be supported in pursuit of their goals and aspirations.
